All Club night activity will cease from Friday 20th December and resume Wednesday 8th January 2025
Getting to know your Committee:
My name is Graeme Petersen (Pedro), here is a little about me
I have been on the Citz committee for the past 9 years and very much enjoy being a part of a very forward looking and settled committee
My wife (Jan Carver) and I have been together for over 30 years, we enjoy coming to the club mixing and mingling with the you the members of this club. We have 5 grown up children between us, all bar one live and work overseas, Perth (Australia), Melbourne (Australia) Princeton (USA), Elverson (USA) and one here in NZ in Wellington, all have children but as they live so far away we don’t get to see them as much as we would like
I have been involved in sport pretty much all of my life, I grew up in Wellington and played football at Stop Out and Seatoun, I was lucky to fulfil one of my wish list items and I played for the All Whites in 1967 (yes that was a fair while ago) Skiing was a passion for Jan and myself, and we have had some great times on overseas slopes and have skied most of the fields here in NZ. Jan and I still play golf; and I am still running around the tennis courts, 2 to 3 days a week. Our other passion is horse race and we enjoy the thrill and fun watching our horses run, we have has several winners and some very good horses.I’ll give you a tip or two over the coming summer races I’m always happy to chat and work with you, so feel free to catch up with me anytime
