What's happening in your club this week

Happy New Year from us all.

A message from your President
Fellow Members,
Christmas is upon us and I thought it was time to give you an update of where we are at.
Firstly some heartfelt thank you's from me to,
My excellent committee, who I assure you work hard on your behalf, from doing the door draws, membership draws and all attending and taking part in all that goes on in the committeee room, to Barbara, a better Vice President one could not find.
To our Manager Joanna, many thanks for agreeing to again be our Manager and making everything seem easy when we all know that it is not that easy. To our great staff who work tirelessly, to look after us all. Last but not least many thanks to our volunteers that have helped get the bar renovations under way, very ably lead by Stephen (Chook) Hawkings.
It is great to have these people in the club that give their time so freely to help where necessary, thank you all.
Where are we at.
We have had our new stairs installed down to the basement and new chiller area. The stairs were needed as the old ones did not comply and needed to be changed to allow room for the dumb waiter (service lift).
Next step and important for all.
On the 6th of January the builders will be hoarding off the TAB bar ready for demolition and installation of the new bar. This is expected to take up to 3 months, so please expect some disruption and noise. We also ask that you let the builders and sub contractors get on with the job to achieve the final outcome in the shortest amount of time. We will be moving and closing the TAB bar operations on Sunday 5th January, but prior to that we will move the gaming and TAB operation/control centre to a temporary counter.

We have decided that it will be nice to have an end of an era day in the TAB bar on Saturday 4th January from 2pm, so come along and enjoy the Citz Club hospitality with a couple of drinks and nibbles.
Lastly I would like to thank you the members for your continuing support throughout the year.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.
