Greetings all, and a Happy New Year
We arrived in Tauranga in 1980, an Army family on a posting from Singapore via Burnham Camp. Back in the "day" of recruit and training 6th Hauraki Battalion, my husband as senior instructor rejoined fellow R.F.established office, a priviledge of having met
Tangawhenua (People, Local & Distrcts with life aquaintance.)
I engaged in Club sports , netball , Tauranga Softball & Badminton, then local community involvement which I enjoyed immensly.
40 years on, still here with my 2 sons and their families, having spent later years in Primary work and involvment with more locals, "so special".
Then assisting my husband in his retirement and passing. Life now is timeless though I keep looking to the West and travel to the whenua o taranaki, as I reach out to engage with you during my tenure.
