Getting to know Your Committee
Introducing Ruth Mather
Hi, my name is Ruth Mather and I was born in the small town of Eketahuna.
I travelled around a lot growing up but Tauranga has been my home for the last 20 years.
I have always had a deep connection with sport, especially Cricket & Rugby.
I played representative cricket in my teens and early 20's.
Also I have spent many years volunteering for St Vincent De Paul and found this to be both rewarding and enjoyable.
I come from a proud heritage where my Grandfather was in the Moari Battalion and can trace my whakapapa back to Ngai Tahi.
I have a strong background in Administration, having worked for Quality Education for many years.
Among the many other jobs I have been fortunate to have worked I really enjoyed being a teacher aide.
To be part of The Tauranga Citizens Club Executive is a privilege and an honour.
I believe in the Clubs values and beliefs and look forward to the year ahead.
I am always available to you, our valued Members to discuss any Club related matter with you.
