What's happening in your Club
Hi Members,
I thought it was time for an update on things that are and going to happen in the Club:
Restaurant/Bistro
Effective from Monday 2nd June
The Restaurant will only be open for casual dining on Saturday nights, with a new full al a carte menu that is also available in the Bistro. We will continue to have tribute shows upstairs, as well as catering all your functions, parties etc. The new menu will feature your old favourites, and some new choices. We are also going to add homemade pizzas to the menu.
The Bistro will have new hours to compliment the menu changes. The full menu will be available from 11am – 1.30pm for lunch and 5pm – 8pm for dinner. The bar snack menu (toasties, burgers, fish chips etc) will be available from 11am until closing at 8pm daily.
Managers Office
As you would have noted on entering the Club, the old raffle station is being transformed into an office for Joanna, this will allow her to be closer to the action and to keep an eye on us all.
Bar Renovation
We are in a bit of a holding pattern at this stage, waiting on the Council to provide the much-needed consent. Once to hand, we have assurance from the builder that it will be all go until completion.
Painting
You would have seen a lot of painting being done around the Club, this is all part of the plan to give a fresh look to our Club rooms. So please be careful, if you see a sign that says wet paint, it likely is, please don’t do the old test to see if it is, “Trust the sign.”
Tab/Sports bar
Venture around and see, we have removed the old TAB signage and display, this has opened up another window onto Cameron Road and lets a lot of light into the club and given us more floor space.
Club Transport Van/Signage
We have purchased a new van and had it sign written; it certainly stands out, as do the new signs on the corner window and along the front onto Cameron Road. “This is where we are, come and see us.”
Parking
As we know, parking is at a premium, and unfortunately, we are limited to what we can do. Please do not park behind the club as you risk getting fined. We have gone cap in hand to the owners of the car park to see if we can negotiate some extra parking. We will keep you updated on that matter.
As you can see, we as your committee are doing a lot in our power to enhance your, and our guests visits to the Club

The Annual Citrus Outdoor Bowls Tournament
Tauranga Citizens Club Outdoor Bowls Adjunct held their annual Citrus Tournament at Bowls Tauranga South recently.
It was a full muster of 26 teams of 4 from Clubs through out the Bay of Plenty.
The winning team from Te Puke Citz Club was Graeme Caie, Marilyn & Noel McLeod,David Barber with Tauranga Citz Club President Bruce Heappey
